CyberOne is the second product released from Xiaomi Robotics Lab after CyberDog starting in August 2021. This humanoid machine has a face in the form of a curved OLED panel that can see the world in 3D and hear with two microphones to identify 85 types of environmental sounds and 45 classifications of human emotions.

Its body has a total of 21 degrees of freedom consisting of 13 joints with each degree of freedom capable of responding in 0.5 ms. The upper limb actuators have an output torque of up to 30Nm and can operate with precision up to 1Nm for a soft touch. The bottom, the legs are powered by actuators with a torque of up to 300Nm. But, of course, CyberOne is definitely not as agile as Atlas Boston Dynamics.

Apart from the surprising live demo, Lei said for now, each CyberOne will cost around 600 thousand to 700 thousand yuan or around 89,100 to 104 thousand US dollars. Until then, Xiaomi will continue to add new capabilities to its first humanoid robot.

“With artificial intelligence (AI) at its core and a full-size humanoid frame as its platform, this is an exploration of the possibilities of Xiaomi’s future technology ecosystem and a breakthrough for the company,” the executive added.
