The messaging application, WhatsApp has announced something new that is quite surprising to the public. In the near future, it is known that WhatsApp will immediately block several cellphone brands at once which is rumored to be carried out starting November 1, 2021. There are about 44 types of cellphones from various brands that WhatsApp will block.
The massive development carried out by WhatsApp in recent times has made the platform no longer able to support all smartphone models. Meanwhile, the discourse on blocking 44 cellphones is related to the operating system which is considered too outdated or old school. Later, the 44 HP brands that are included in the list that do not meet these requirements will no longer be able to use the WhatsApp application.
In general, the devices that will be affected by this policy are devices with an operating system equal to or lower than Android 4.0.3. Or, for iPhone, devices with iOS 9 or earlier. This means that the practical equipment in the smartphone is outdated because it does not have sufficient capacity to support updates.
Reporting from Entrepreneur, here is the complete list of smartphones that WhatsApp will be discontinuing as of November 1.

Even though WhatsApp no longer supports some of the phones listed above, it doesn’t mean that the app will stop working on other smartphones soon. Precisely this dismissal is due to an update that will be carried out by WhatsApp.
WhatsApp itself advises users who use one of the above phones to change to a newer device model in order to continue using this messaging application and avoid massive account closures.
Otherwise, the user may also no longer be able to enjoy the application’s functions, including the impossibility of connecting to WhatsApp Web, because to enter the feature, it must be done by scanning the QR code of the application downloaded on the mobile phone, which in some cases can no longer be viewed.
However, if switching smartphones is not yet possible, another option is to bet on other messaging platforms, such as Telegram, Signal or Facebook’s Messenger that may still support those devices.
The good news is that closed accounts can be reactivated with the same phone number, as soon as the user downloads WhatsApp and logs in from a newer device that meets the new requirements that will be issued soon.
To prevent messages from being lost, you can take advantage of the “Backup” feature using an e-mail address. This is effectively done if you are afraid that the app will stop working on your mobile device, you should backup your messages first to save your chat history before November 1st.
This is done only to save all your WhatsApp conversations, but you won’t be able to reuse your account until you switch to a newer smartphone with Android 4.1 or above operating system, as well as on an iPhone with iOS 10 and later.
