England star Harry Kane becomes a playable Fortnite character as Euro 2020 kicks off this week
Together with German star Marco Reus, the Lions goal machine (as the England national team is called), will be a playable character starting this Friday (11/6/2021) as the start of Euro 2020.
Fortnite maker Epic Games confirmed the new skin in a blog post last Wednesday.
“On June 11 at 8 p.m. ET, the similarities between the two players will be available in separate National Team jerseys or together in the Kane & Reus Bundle,” the gaming giant said.
Each character has a special emote and back bling.
Tottenham Talisman Kane has an emote called the “HurriKane” emote, while Reus Dortmund has an emote called “Marcinho”.
Enthusiastic soccer fans will notice that each emote takes its name from each player’s nickname.
For individual skins, which will be packed with emotes and back bling, players can expect to pay a little over 1,500 V-Bucks (the gamers currency for buying various devices in the game).
Reported by The Sun page, Sunday (13/6/2021), for the Icon Series package, the price is likely to be 2,200 to 3,000 V-Bucks.
This isn’t the first time Fortnite has stepped into the world of sports. Earlier this year, icon Neymar created his own outfit, mission and reward sets.
Since he is Brazilian, of course, Neymar will not be competing at Euro 2020, which started on June 11.
