Apple officially launched its newest product, the iPhone 13, on Tuesday (14/9/2021). There are four iPhone 13 models launched by Apple, namely the “regular” iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max.
So, what’s new about this iPhone 13 product?
1. New camera cinematic features
A pretty good new improvement from the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro is the presence of a ‘cinematic mode’ feature that can be used to make movie-style videos. This feature makes it possible to create smooth transitions between foreground and background focus.
Apart from that, this feature is also smart enough to change focus when the subject moves away from the phone’s view.
Quoted from Techradar, the computational trick that Apple uses in its cinematic mode is an algorithm trained based on classic cinematography that will automatically find a ‘focus rack’ for each scene.
In addition, Apple uses a combination of machine learning and disparity to make images look sharper.
2. Macro mode
The iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max are equipped with better macro power on their ultra wide cameras. In addition, the power of this macro can also be found in video features including for Slo-mo and Time-lapse modes.
3. Longer telephoto lens
The camera on the iPhone 13 Pro and ProMax is equipped with an extra range of cameras that can be done to zoom images up to 3X. The focal length of a telephoto lens is equivalent to 77 millimeters (mm).
4. Equipped with the best chips
The iPhone 13 is powered by the Apple A15 Bionic System-on-Chip. This chip is the fastest Apple uses today. The chip uses 5-nanometer technology and has nearly 15 billion transistors to handle the heavy lifting including the latest computational photography features.
5. Better 5G network
The iPhone 13 all kinds offer a better 5G experience. So that the iPhone 13 phone allows working in a wider range of places. Users can enjoy higher quality video streaming on their favorite platforms, faster download and upload speeds, and more.
