WhatsApp actually has a feature to allow users to send chats to many people at the same time, but some users may not realize it. This feature for sending multiple messages at the same time, is contained in Broadcast, and is available for both Android and iOS users.
“With the broadcast list feature, you can send messages to several contacts at once,” WhatsApp wrote in its official statement, quoted Monday (28/3/2022).
Broadcast lists are lists of saved recipients that you can send broadcast messages to periodically, without having to reselect recipients each time you send a broadcast message. So, how do you create a broadcast list so you can send chat to many contacts at the same time? Here’s the review.
Make a Broadcas List on Android
- Go to WhatsApp > More options > New broadcast.
- Search or select the contact you want to add to the list.
- Tap the check mark.
- Open WhatsApp.
- Tap Broadcast List at the top of the Chat screen.
- Tap New List at the bottom of the Broadcast List screen.
- Search or select the contact you want to add to the list.
- Tap Create.
This step will create a new broadcast list. When you send a message to a broadcast list, the message is sent to all recipients in the list who have saved your phone number in their phone’s address book.
The recipient will receive your message as an individual message. When they reply, the messages they sent will be displayed as individual messages on your Chat screen. Their replies will not be sent to other recipients in the same broadcast list.
