WhatsApp’s new feature that allows users to transfer chats from Android phones to iOS is now available in Meta’s chat application. The information was announced directly by WhatsApp on its Twitter account. They wrote, “A new way to keep important chats. With this capability, Android or iOS users who want to switch platforms can easily restore their device chats without worrying about losing them. “Account information, profile photos, individual, group chats, chat history, media, and app settings will also be transferred to the new device,” WhatsApp explained.

However, the company says users will not be able to transfer call history and user display names. To be able to enjoy this new WhatsApp feature, users must meet the following requirements.
- Android Lollipop OS, SDK 12 or above, or Android 5 or later installed on the device, iOS 15.5 or later (iPhone), and must install the move to iOS application on the Android phone
- WhatsApp iOS version 2.22.10.70 or later on the device
- WhatsApp Android version 2.22.7.74 or above on the original device
- Use the same mobile number on the old device and on the new smartphone
- Your iPhone must be reset so that it can connect to the Move to iOS application, and transfer data from Android phones
- The battery is charged or connected to power7. Connect to the same WiFi network or connect Android device to iPhone hotspot.
During the WhatsApp data transfer process, you must make a backup in iCloud to use cloud storage. The company explained that they cannot see the data that the user transfers, and the Android phone will still have the data unless the user deletes WhatsApp or resets the phone.
