TikTok is reportedly testing a new feature called Watch History. As the name implies, this feature allows users to look back at a collection of videos they watched previously.
This feature was first discovered by Twitter user Hammod Oh which was later shared by social media researcher Matt Navarra.
In the uploaded screenshot, this feature appears in the ‘Content and Activity’ column in the Settings option.
Unfortunately, it is unknown whether the trial of this new feature will be extended to more users. A TikTok spokesperson did not comment much on the Watch History feature.
“We’re always thinking of new ways to add value to our community and enrich the TikTok experience,” said a TikTok spokesperson.
This feature will later help users find videos that they didn’t have time to save via likes.
The video disappears and changes to another video usually occurs when the user accidentally scrolls down which makes the display refresh.
But there is a way to retrieve lost videos in FYP (For You Page). This method is shared by an account called rachforaday.
Here’s how to find videos you’ve watched on FYP TikTok:
- Open Discover
- Click Search on the right side of the search field
- Click the Filters logo at the top right
- Enable the option ‘Watched Video within last 7 days’
- Tap Apply
- Now, the Discover column will display a collection of TikTok videos that have been viewed for the last seven days and forgot to save.
That’s a discussion about how to find videos that have been watched on FYP TikTok. Hope this post can help you and share this if it was useful for you.
