Google has rolled out the Android 13 software update for supported devices, especially the Google Pixel. Therefore, Google Pixel owners can directly download the latest update on their devices. Unfortunately, this latest software update has not yet reached devices such as the Samsung Galaxy and Motorola. However, users of other devices can get the Android 13 beta software, if they have a compatible non-Pixel device.
To note, in February 2022, Google had released the first version of Android 13 beta, before being followed by the launch of the first Android 13 public beta in April. The last update released in June is the fourth and final version of the Android 13 beta.
The presence of Android 13 brings several new features to Android, such as the redesign of Material You with an automatic color scheme based on the wallpaper color, a kill switch to prevent third-party applications from accessing the camera and microphone, end-to-end encryption, and a universal clipboard feature.
So, how do you download the beta version of Android 13 for devices that already support it, especially in the Pixel series? Check out the steps as quoted from the CNET page, Saturday (3/9/2022) below.
Before running the Android 13 installation process on your cellphone, make sure the device is connected to a stable WiFi network in a state where the charger is plugged in. This is because during the installation process, the device battery must be charged at approximately 50% for the over-the-air update to work.
You can start downloading the software by visiting the Settings app and scrolling down to find the System Update option.
How to Install Android 13 on Smartphone
If an update is available, a notification will appear after you select that option. However, if the update has not appeared, you can tap the Check for update option.
Make sure the device has enough storage space to download the software. The installation process can fail because there is no space to save the downloaded software.
Next, you can directly press the Download and install button located at the bottom right to start the installation. Generally, the software installation process will take 20 to 30 minutes, depending on the size and condition of the device.
After the download process is complete and the phone is rebooted, you can immediately run the device with the Android 13 software.
