A new privacy feature has just been launched by Google for their search service. This time, users can directly delete the last 15 minutes from the search history.
This latest option was announced on Thursday (15/07) local time and was announced along with a series of other updates at I/O 2021 some time ago.
The option to clear search history for the last 15 minutes is only available on iOS, and will be rolling out at the end of the year for Android. With this option, the recent search history list will be deleted with just one button press.
Google says that they only track search history to personalize the user experience when the “Web and App Activity” setting is enabled.
This instant method is very helpful for users and provides peace of mind while browsing. Google also offers the option to password protect your search history from being accessed by other parties using verification on the My Activity page.
